Each week, the children learn about God, our Creator, the Holy Spirit as our divine inspiration and Jesus Christ as God&#8217;s son, messenger, teacher and our standard for peace, justice and kindness in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sunday school is offered during the Sunday Morning Worship Service. St. Paul\u2019s was formed when the congregations of the\nWesleyan and Episcopalian Methodists joined together as part of a nationwide\nact of union of all four branches of Methodism. Together they built a brick\nchurch large enough to accommodate both congregations in the main business area\nin Petrolia. When the United Church of Canada formed in 1925 this Petrolia\nchurch joined the newly formed denomination and the name St. Paul\u2019s United\nChurch was chosen by the congregation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the years our\nchurch family has seen increases to our membership through the welcoming of\nfamilies from recently closed churches; these churches include: Marthaville\nUnited Church (1925), St. Andrew\u2019s Brooke and Enniskillen United Church (2006)\nand Burns-Mooreline United Church (2011).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns has-2-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/lambtoncentre.com\/\"><strong>Lambton Centre<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A non-profit Summer Camp, Retreat Facility and Trailer Park located in Lambton Shores<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.united-church.ca\/\"><strong><br>The United Church of Canada<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The official national website of the United Church of Canada. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theinnsarnia.ca\/\"><strong>Inn of the Good\nShepherd<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Inn provides services with dignity to those who\nare in need of food and shelter.
